Keng Lim, Chairman & CEO

Keng Lim is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of NextLabs. As CEO he is responsible for the vision, leadership, strategic direction and successful growth of the company and its employees. IDG Demo recognized him at the DEMOfall 2009 with a Lifetime Achievement Award together with 15 other technology luminaries for their significant contribution to the advancement of technology. Keng is credited for his contribution in the Web & SOA technologies, ecommerce, SaaS, and information security software.

Mr. Lim is a proven entrepreneur and has built a distinguished executive management career in Silicon Valley. Over the last 20 years, he has built reputable internet and software companies including Approach Software, Kiva Software, Netscape, Escalate, and Sygate Technologies. He has been recognized by several key organizations as one of the industry's "most influential people on the Internet" for the creation and advancement of the Application Server product and market. Prior to NextLabs, Keng played a central role in launching Sygate Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise endpoint security enforcement software, with its founder Chris Guo in 1998. Mr. Lim served as Chairman until its acquisition by Symantec Corp. in 2005. Mr. Lim also founded Escalate in 1999, and grew it into a leading multi-channel order management and ecommerce ASP company. Red Prairie acquired Escalate in Feb 2011. Prior to Escalate, Mr. Lim joined Netscape in 1997 as Vice President and General Manager of the Application Server & Web Infrastructure Products Division. He drove a large part of the Netscape's core infrastructure software business -- application server, web server, business process, content management, Java script, and Java development tools – and played a key role in transforming Netscape from a browser company into an infrastructure software company. Mr. Lim joined Netscape through its acquisition of application server pioneer, Kiva Software which Mr. Lim founded in 1995 and served as Chairman and CEO. At Kiva, he was credited as one of the inventors of the Java application server. Mr. Lim pursued his first startup, Approach Software, a desktop database software provider, which Lotus acquired in 1993, and began his career with Oracle Corporation.

Keng holds a bachelor degree with high distinction majoring in Computer Science and Civil Engineering from the Ohio Northern University, and a master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a member of the Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi.

Keng is a holder of over 30 approved and pending patents in the internet and information security related area. 

 

Andy Han, Vice President of Products

Andy Han is responsible for Product Development and Product Marketing at NextLabs.

Mr. Han has 15 years of experience in the creation and management of enterprise software, specializing in application infrastructure and security products.

Prior to joining NextLabs, Mr. Han was Group Director of Product Marketing at Siebel Systems where he led the Product Management organization and set the product direction for the company's next-generation, service-oriented application architecture. At Siebel, he also served as Director of Technology Product Marketing with responsibility for eight Siebel product lines including Web Architecture, Content Management, and Security. Previously, Mr. Han specialized in enterprise architecture and security while at Netscape and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).

Mr. Han received a BA in Engineering from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Krista Kendall, Vice President, Finance and Controller

Krista Kendall is responsible for maintaining the General and Administrative operations of the company, including Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Legal and Purchasing.

Ms. Kendall joined NextLabs with 12 years of experience in the technology industry, ranging from Big Four public accounting to early stage software companies. Prior to NextLabs, Ms. Kendall was Controller for endpoint security provider Sygate Technologies, where her key responsibilities included G&A policy creation and implementation, contract negotiation and revenue recognition, GAAP compliance and company planning and reporting. Sygate was acquired by Symantec Corporation in October 2005. Before Sygate, Ms. Kendall was Sales Controller at Baan, where she supported the North America sales organization. Prior to Baan, Ms. Kendall worked in management for CRM software provider Aurum Software through its IPO and subsequent acquisition by Baan. Ms. Kendall started her career as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand.

Ms. Kendall is a CPA and is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Vishi Iyer, Vice President, Solution and System Engineering

Vishi Iyer is responsible for system engineering, solution delivery, and technical support. He works closely with customers and serves as customer advocate.

Mr. Iyer has over 15 years of experience in managing the deployment and support of enterprise software, specializing in applications and infrastructure products. Prior to joining NextLabs, Mr. Iyer was Director of Professional Services at Quinstreet where his global team delivered enterprise business critical applications for large multinationals using service-oriented application architecture. At Opsware/Loudcloud, he served as Global Director of Client Solutions. His team was responsible for deploying data center automation software, architecting web application systems. He was Director of Enterprise Applications pre-sales support at Netscape after the Kiva merger. Vishi also played a key role in solution and system engineering at Kiva.

Mr. Iyer holds a bachelors degree in Engineering from REC, Surat India.

Poon Fung, Vice President, Technology

Poon Fung is responsible for architecture, technology, and product development practice at NextLabs. He works closely with product marketing, solution engineering, and leads the global product development organization to ensure a highly effective product development operation.

Mr. Fung has over 20 years of extensive experience in software and hardware development with a combination of start-up and Fortune 500 experience. His extensive background in technologies includes web technologies, information security, enterprise applications, system management, real-time control, and computer-aided engineering. Mr. Fung has helped founded startup companies such as GagaSpace, iGenious, Nopex, and CommerceEast. He has also held various engineering and management positions at Intel and HP.

Mr. Fung received two Master of Science degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He holds a U.S. patent on application performance management technology.
 

E.K. Koh , Vice President, Solution Management and Marketing

E.K. Koh is responsible for NextLabs' industry-focused solution offerings. He works closely with industry experts and customers to leverage NextLabs products to address problems in industries such as Financial Services, Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Energy.

Mr. Koh has over 15 years of experience in the software industry, where he held key positions in product management, solution management, operations and marketing. Prior to joining NextLabs, Mr. Koh was Program Director in IBM Tivoli Software, responsible for single sign on, identity and access management, and end point security offerings. He was responsible for global product strategies, go to market execution and solution roadmap. Before joining IBM, Mr. Koh was the VP of Products at Encentuate, which was acquired by IBM in March 2008.

Mr Koh holds Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees with Highest Honors in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds three patents on internet media update, authentication and security technologies.
