Mid-level Solution Engineer – Professional Services

The Consulting Engineer serves as a key highly visible member of Customer Solutions team. You will work closely with customers utilizing your technical expertise in understanding their information security and compliance requirements, architect and design a solution to solve their business needs. Responsibilities:

• Understand customers’ business objectives, technical requirements, and information security needs, and translate them into practical solution approaches using NextLabs technologies.
• Partner with Sales to develop solution strategies, identify technical requirements, and support customer opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
• Design innovative, technology-focused solutions that demonstrate the value and applicability of NextLabs products.
• Develop and deliver compelling, value-based product demonstrations, including standard product capabilities and customer-specific use cases.
• Develop and present proofs of concept (POCs) to demonstrate solution feasibility and address customer requirements.
• Participate in customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, architecture discussions, and solution presentations.
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical capabilities by clearly communicating solution architecture, benefits, and implementation considerations.
• Support sales follow-up activities, technical meetings, proposals, and internal account planning.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to develop effective technical strategies for customer opportunities.
• Support the technical evaluation and solution sign-off process by validating requirements, architecture, feasibility, and implementation approach.
• Work closely with customers to understand their business, information security, compliance, and technical requirements and translate them into implementable NextLabs solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise during POCs, pilot projects, and enterprise deployments.
• Participate in integration architecture and infrastructure design activities.
• Install, configure, integrate, and deploy NextLabs software in customer environments.
• Implement and configure security and authorization solutions using NextLabs technologies.
• Develop and support integrations across enterprise applications, identity systems, databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during implementation and work with Engineering and Product teams to identify and resolve complex problems.
• Develop scripts, configurations, or lightweight software components when required to support customer implementations.
• Train customers on the use, administration, configuration, and customization of NextLabs solutions.
• Develop a strong understanding of customers’ technical environments, business processes, industry requirements, and security challenges.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Professional Services to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and provide responsive technical support throughout customer engagements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and deployment documentation.
• Contribute to implementation methodologies, best practices, reusable solution assets, and technical knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members as appropriate.

Requirements:

• BE/BS degree in computer science or engineering with 6+ years of experience
• 3+ years of field or technical sales experience in enterprise software.
• Hands on in-depth architectural design, implementation, integration or administration knowledge of one or more of the following: Active Directory, LDAP, SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, PLM, ERP
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting software on Windows Server and enterprise operating systems, including RHEL, CentOS, and SUSE.
• Familiar with cloud platforms Amazon EC2, MS Azure, GCP
• Familiar with containerization/container orchestration technologies like Docker, K8s, OpenShift
• Prior development experience with one major programming language like java, C++
• Familiar with web development concepts, REST APIs
• Outstanding analytical and communication skills
• Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, primarily within the US, with occasional international travel.
