Join NextLabs at the NIST NCCoE Secure Software Development (DevSecOps) Virtual Event
Date & Time: Wednesday, August 27, 2025 | 1:00–3:30 PM EDT
NextLabs is proud to participate in the NIST NCCoE Secure Software Development (DevSecOps) Virtual Event, a webinar exploring Secure Software Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) practices. This collaboration builds on our ongoing participation with NIST NCCoE on the Software Supply Chain and DevOps Security Practices Project. Learn more in our recent press release.
About the Event
As software development environments face increasing cybersecurity threats, integrating security into DevOps (also known as DevSecOps) has become essential. This interactive event highlights the NCCoE’s plans to develop and demonstrate guidelines for secure software development. Attendees will gain insights into risk-based security practices for DevSecOps that are aligned with the NIST Secure Software Development Framework (NIST SP 800-218). They will also learn how AI-driven automation can support secure and efficient software development.
The event will feature:
- Presentations on NCCoE’s DevSecOps project goals and planned demonstrations
- Discussions on cybersecurity challenges and recommendations related to secure software development
- Opportunities for participants to provide feedback that informs the project’s focus and outputs
- Access to a post-event recording
- Panel Session
DevSecOps: Use of Artificial Intelligence & Zero Trust
Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at 2:40 PM
Our CEO, Keng Lim, will be featured as a panelist in the “DevSecOps: Use of Artificial Intelligence & Zero Trust” session, sharing insights on leveraging AI and implementing Zero Trust principles across the software development lifecycle.
NextLabs Contribution to NCCoE DevSecOps Project
NextLabs’ contributions to the project are primarily focused on the areas of Zero Trust Architecture and Data-Centric Security, ensuring that data security and access governance are foundational elements of the software development pipeline.
Specific areas where we are contributing include:
- Zero Trust Architecture to protect data and resources whenever and wherever they are accessed
- Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) to govern access to data, applications, and environments
- Secure environments at every stage of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Policy automation to consistently enforce compliance and internal controls across environments
- Data-centric protections that protect data throughout its lifecycle, at rest, in use, and on the move.
A Shared Commitment to Secure Innovation
Our work with the NCCoE as part of the NCEP reflects NextLabs’ ongoing commitment to supporting government and industry in solving today’s toughest cybersecurity challenges. This NIST NCCoE project will provide more than a set of recommendations—it is a blueprint for how public and private sector leaders can work together to secure the future of software development.
