NextLabs Enovia PLM Enforcer extends Enovia’s native authorization model to control and protect product data across the product lifecycle. It takes Enovia’s role, user, and group-based authorization and extends it to fine-grained, data-level access control based on a flexible policy system that lets organizations address compliance and IP requirements quickly, with the lowest total cost of ownership.
Enovia PLM Enforcer applies data-level control to:

Key Capabilities
- Extending Enovia Authorization – Extends Enovia’s role, user, and group-based authorization to provide fine-grained, data-level access control. Policies dynamically reference the data-level classifications applied to PLM objects; classifications defined in the Security Classification Module can determine applicable license restrictions, IP obligations, or other information.
- Security Classification Module – Classify parts, specifications, and other PLM business objects, and configure, extend, and simplify the process of identifying and maintaining classification values to improve security and compliance. Classifications can be configured, extended, and managed using batch, interactive, or programmatic interfaces.
- Integrated Rights Management – A roadmap features that automatically applies rights protection to documents uploaded to or stored in Enovia. IRM extracts classification and inheritance logic from the PLM business context and embeds it into documents as metadata, so access and usage controls remain persistent even after documents are downloaded from Enovia.
- Powerful Policy Management – Built on the NextLabs CloudAz, which governs product data access and usage from enterprise applications to endpoints. Rules authorize users by security classification, user attributes, and dynamic factors such as computers or location, and are validated in real time before access is granted.
- Integration with User Administration and Identity Management – User attributes, such as citizenship, company, project team, or geographical location, can be leveraged from existing sources, including Enovia User Administration, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Human Capital Management (HCM), and other third-party identity management or directory servers.
- Centralized Audit and Reporting – Policy compliance and end-user activity are collected in a central Activity Journal for reporting through NextLabs Reporter, a graphical analysis, charting, and reporting application.
